Scott-robert Shenkman Beth,

I've written you in the past that I love your books and will pick this one up on 10/17.

Now I have read a bit of M/M (mostly paranormal) and almost all have been written by women. As a straight guy, I only have a small idea of the...mechanics. How do women become knowledable? I guess I'm asking how you do research....books written by men? porn? chats with a close gay friend? And not just the sex but the dynamics. I have friends who are married or partnered and the relationship dynamics are different. I know if I were a writer and I was told to write a F/F romance, I could not ask my friends who are lesbian about, at the minimum, their sex lives. I don't think that's a topic that the average straight guy would ever feel comfortable bringing up with a woman. My knowledge of F/F sex is porn, and that's usually "written" for the benefit of a male audience (not that I'm anything of a porn watcer - the allure started to wear off after college).

Beth Michele Hi Scott-robert,

To answer your question, it's a combination of a lot of those elements. But, to be honest, to me, this is a love story. It just happens to be between two guys. Every relationship is different and that's irregardless of gender, if that makes sense? At any rate, I'm so glad you asked the question and I hope you enjoy the book.

All the best,
Beth

Scott-robert Shenkman Well it's your book so you know I'll love it.

But the mechanics? Women aren't exactly familiar with it Neither do straight. Do you have to consult with gay men and ask them is the really goes there and to you really touch that? I would be terrified to ask these questions.
