ONE YEAR AGO TODAY…I published Receiver of Many.

To date:

THOUSANDS of paperbacks and ebooks sold across multiple sites
80+ reviews on Amazon with a 4.7 average rating
490+ reviews on Goodreads with a  4.2 average rating
Consistently in the top 5%-10% of all books selling on Kindle.

I can’t thank everyone enough.

I do have to announce some bad news though (after the break)

As I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, I won’t be publishing The Thrice Plowed Field this month. And possibly not this year. I am very pregnant, and have been on doctor-ordered restrictions since May, and pelvic rest since July. One would think that this would have given me plenty of time to write, but simultaneously the baby has been sucking my brains and energy out and I can’t get the novella finished in time.

I guess that the creative process has become an inward thing as I create a life within, instead of the outward momentum I’ve used in the past to create a novel.

I may be able to put TPF out by the Winter Solstice, but given how things have gone and how things will proceed after the baby is born, that’s doubtful too. So I am going to aim for March 22, 2017 to release The Thrice Plowed Field.

Lots of people have asked about when The Good Counselor will be out. Again, I’m working on it, but I don’t exactly know. I’d like to have it ready for final edit by the end of next year, and released soon after that.

If there’s anything this pregnancy has taught me, it’s that I can’t make a bunch of advanced plans and commitments, and that my schedule is not necessarily the schedule of my soon-to-be son.

I will be more active on here with updates after the baby is born (three weeks left!) but in the meantime, please bear with me. That also goes for the last of the Kickstarter rewards. I am working on getting those out and I deeply apologize that I haven’t yet, but life (moving to a different town, baby, convalescence because of baby) got in the way.

Much love,

Rachel Alexander
