Guise – A-Z #PoetryChallenge

Guise

.

Guise that Hides all I Am,

Ruse that Steals my Destiny,

Window Dressing of my Inner Me,

Sublime,

Discordant,

Inconsistency,

Masking She who Stands Long Waiting,

Listening to Starlight

Glistening,

Debating,

Guise that Mocks my Truest Being,

Pretext that Goes before me,

Shake and Shatter in this Light,

Of Pureness,

Whisperingly contrite,

and Mistake me not

When I am Seeking

To Gaze beyond your Tapestry,

Spin your Guile Before Others Eyes,

Yet Never Lie to me!
