Every creature deserves our compassion, our love, and so very desperately, our tenderness. This beautiful little thing hit the window and I feared the worst for the better part of an hour. In the end though, after holding her and putting her safely in a tree, she took one final stroke down her back and wings, stretched her neck, and flew off into the sunlight.
