"Trouble's" Progress
"The Trouble with Being a Horse" is continuing to grow and be noticed by more people. It recently won the NABE Spring 2011 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Juvenile Fiction! I'm very excited about winning this award and it's helping to open up doors all over. Several book stores and tack stores in the US and Canada carry it and it's now listed on Amazon which is the go-to online store for so many people.
So far, the reviews have been very positive and it's not just young girls who are enjoying it--a lot of older horsey people (and, surprisingly, non-horsey people as well) like it too, which is terrific to hear. The book has had about ten reviews so far, mostly in horse magazines, with plenty more to come!
If anyone here has read the book and would like to give me some feedback or write a review I'd love to hear what you think. You can read the first three chapters online at www.singlestride.com.
