Yes, I’ve drawn Atlas before–ALWAYS had a weakness for an enormous guy forced to hold up heavy things. But I constructed a different backstory after I’d started.
Awhile back there was a funny news story of a guy who’d stolen a safe by simply picking it up and walking off with it. Needless to say, he was pretty hot by my standards. So, yanno, super-built criminals do exist.
I concluded there could be an enormous thief who decided to rob a museum jewel collection by disguising himself as one of the Atlas statues during the day and sneaking to the gems at night. Which of course involved stripping naked and covering himself in white powder. He assumed that being up on the pedestal, nobody would look too closely.
But he failed to shave his body hair first, which showed up as visible scuffs on the surface, not to mention getting his feet a bit dirty. And just as he was about to put his plan in action, a couple janitors were tasked to do some cleaning overnight. And they’re so bored and routine with their jobs, they get to work without examining it first.
Someone’s cover is about to be blown ;-)
