Lynda Meyer Thank you Ruth for making history come alive! I LOVE YOUR BOOKS! Now I must go make Oatcakes for breakfast! My dear friend, Hazel, who married a Yank and has lived here for many years (California) visited her family this summer in England for 5 glorious weeks. She returned with many lovely thoughts and ideas to share. One of them was OATCAKES! Savory or Sweet or both. Gotta try them! Found recipe on line given in American measurements. Wish me luck. Lynda

Lynda Meyer No Oatcakes here! NADA! I will try making cheese ones and maybe a sweet for "dessert"? I haven't been to England for 16 years and I think that must be remedied! L.
