The Fruits of Summer

Alice Dinizo Nice! Now will we wish for summer when we get six feet of snow on the ground and temperatures in the teens?

Alice Dinizo I happen to like autumn but we never seem to have one any more. The weather here in NJ just goes from summer to winter. Speaking of raspberries, years ago on my parents' farm in Vermont we had a raspberry patch which yielded marvellous fruits. But in the middle of the patch lived a groundhog who got the first fruits always! Lucky fellow!

Zinta Lucky groundhog.

Yes, weather here in Michigan is moving the same way, to two seasons, winter and summer. I start to feel that sense of dread already midway through spring. Today we hit 99 with a heat index of nearly 110. And I hear it's much worse in other places ... and I think heading your way?

Alice Dinizo Hi, Zinta,
Yes, the heat wave hits here today. There are warnings out for people to be careful out in the heat. I have an author's signing today and plan on getting home to air conditioning ASAP. Stay cool and indoors if possible, my friend. :-) Alice

Zinta Best on your author's signing!

Alice Dinizo Thanks, Zinta, it went well. Did I sell a lot of books? No way, but I like the people who visited with me. Stay cool! :-) Alice
