Did you know that the first draft of Munchkin Legends  had far more old-timey legends from around the world – like the Japanese ghost, Ashiarai Yashiki. (It's a giant ghostly foot. Covered in mud. That breaks into your house and demands you wash it. That . . . would have been a classic card for sure.)
