Good things!

My most exciting thing going on is that I published my fourth book, Galaxy Girls. You can read the excerpt and blurb here, but I'm making the BIG announcement (with giveaways!!!) at Magical Musings tomorrow (Monday, the 18th). So all I'll say now is this might be my favorite book so far (though Cattitude will always have a special place in my heart).

My other good thing is that I did an interview with Michelle at Indie Paranormal Book Reviews on her Whatcha Reading? column, in which she spotlights Galaxy Girls. She asked great questions, so if you want to know more, that's where to go. Here's a sample of one of her questions and my answer:

What sets Galaxy Girls apart from other books in the genre?

I came at it as a hybrid book from the beginning. A paranormal with a strong quartet of women. Five if I count Birdie, the heroine's five-year-old daughter. It feels like there are a lot of paranormals with teams of men characters and very few with women. I think a lot of readers are ready for books about Phyrne and her family members.

This doesn't mean I shortchange the men. The hero has allies, too: a female FBI agent he'd worked with in the past; a newbie agent he's teamed with at the Foundation, a non-government shadow agency that hunts down aliens; and the Foundation's director, a physically and emotionally damaged man who only shows tenderness to the dogs he rescues.

And one of my favorite characters in the book is a Kergeron warrior sent to bring the Galaxy women back to Kergeron.

One more good thing. Danielle at Coffee Time Romance & More gave Dragon Blues a steaming 5-cup review. I won't quote the entire review, just this:

I absolutely loved Dragon Blues! The emotional push and pull that Lila and Noah felt time and again sucks you right into their sweltering attraction and dangerous journey. Edie Ramer has written a tale that includes a man who is a very powerful alpha male dragon but has a side that is as cuddly as a bear. Lila is a woman I would love to have beside me as a friend and warrior but who would terrify me if she were my enemy. This story rocks and you cannot go wrong by reading this sexy paranormal tale.

Tomorrow my post on How To Promote Your Books on Goodreads should be on the How To Write Shop. The site is changing hosts, and they're not sure when it will happen. It might go dark for a day or two, but I've been assured that everything will be up again within a day or two.

On the personal front, things are going well. I made a shrimp and angel hair pasta dish last night that was delicious. Today we're going to see Larry Crowne with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. We decided to see the latest Harry Potter show in a week or two. It's hot here, so the dogs aren't getting their walks. I feel bad for them, but not bad enough to walk them in the heat.

How are things going for you? What are your good things?
