Of Mondegreens and Eggcorns

  I just discovered some new terms I’d never heard before! Mondegreen and eggcorn. Sounds like the title of a sitcom, right? But according to Grammarist.com, mondegreens are misheard versions of phrases, sayings, lyrics, poetic phrases, or slogans.
