Twelve: Keeping Busy post-GenCon!

Hi all,

It's been a bustling couple of weeks, what with GenCon, the hugest friggin' gaming convention around (and in some ways a real focal point of my writing year).

I've got plenty to say about what went down in Indy (and how awesome it was), and plenty to say about some upcoming and ongoing projects as a result of Indy conversations (and how awesome they are), but I'm a lazy beast, so given the chance I'm gonna cheat.

I already said most of it here, at my Patreon. So if you're curious about a blow-by-blow of my GenCon trip, along with me getting a little sappy there at the end, feel free to check it out (and feel free to check out the Patreon in general, while you're there!).

I've started to branch out to some other conventions, too, in the meantime -- one in Texas, one pretty far away again -- and I'll be sure to post updates as those convention dates draw nearer and my plans get clearer.

Until next time,
--Russell Zimmerman

David I went to Gencon this year, and every time I passed the Catalyst book I would ask if you were there.
Neat and Shaken: No Job To Small definitely warranted me wanting to shake your hand, get your signature, and take a photo with you.
Missed you each time I went, but hey, you were probably having as much fun as I was being all over the place. So many awesome things to see and do.
Hope to see you around next time I go!

Russell Zimmerman I'm sorry we missed each other, David! I'm not officially doing Catalyst stuff at the convention, just kind of bouncing around doing my own thing most of the time, and I know that makes me a little tough to run down. Sorry about that! I'm hoping to have a bit more of a presence next year, again giving a few seminars and that sort of thing.

Thanks for your interest and the compliment, though, and I'm very glad you're digging Kincaid's stories so far. I'm glad you had a great time in Indy, and hopefully I'll see you there next year!

David Life steamrolled me over and replying to you took nearly a month.
Time flies when routine strikes.
Funny how that is... since it also flies when one is at Gencon!

And no worries, Russell. The fine folks at Catalyst were keen on letting me know you weren't there in an official fashion at the booth, but that you were dropping by randomly in between your Gencon enjoyment (like the rest of us).

I sure had a glorious blast, and I have no doubts you did as well.

I probably won't be able to go next year, but I usually go every two years, so if you are around in Gencon 2018, I would either drop by in one of your seminars, or at the Catalyst booth and at least shake your hand. Quite vigorously, I might add.

And I have most definitely enjoyed the Kincaid stories. Keep them coming and I'll keep buying and reading them.

And whenever you release something else as well. I even have the Satellite Reign story (I was a backer, since Syndicate and Syndicate Wars devoured a chunk of childhood).

Keep up the good work!
