How are Pogo wings manufactured if they are endlessly long?

Pogo wings are field projections. The physical components only extend a few inches out from the side of the pogo, but they create an airfoil that extends out potentially ad infinitum, though it loses potency after about a mile, or as soon as it hits an object. This means in a city, a pogo can jump fairly high, but in the open, it can almost leave the atmosphere.
