A work in progress:

Last week Republican Congressman Steve King of Iowa rhetorically asked MSNBC:

“This whole ‘white people’ business, though, does get a little tired, Charlie. I mean, I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you’re talking about. Where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?”

Africa:at least 12 million slaves, the White House, human universals (clothing, fire, music, dance, art, language, jokes, morals, hairstyles, etc), paint, hammer, plough, irrigation, dam, calendar, taxes, geometry, plaster, toothpaste, make-up, shirt, bowling, rivet, wire, plywood, bed, table, chair, glass, pen, paper, ink, books, rings, mechanical lock…
