I've VERY excited by this news! I've been eyeballing him since Ice Queen.
All the other news is very exciting as well. Thanks for updating us. :)

I tried to stretch that book out and savor it bc I knew it would be awhile before the next VQ story. I cannot wait for the next release!

Just, my apologies for the delay. I have to ask GR why I'm not receiving emailed notifications when I get questions (even though I've checked the box). Though I think part of it is I'm apparently related to Harry Dresden or part-Fae and so technology is repelled by me (lol - not sure if GR can troubleshoot that!).
Anyhow - grin - yeah, you answered your own question there. There really isn't enough story there to write another book about Marcus and Thomas, but have you read their free novella? A couple years back, I wrote a free story about their first Christmas together. You can find that and a bunch of other freebie novella/shorts revisiting my series characters at the JWH Connection fan forum. They're available in all the popular download formats, no strings attached. You do have to login to the forum, but that's to keep spammers out, not to collect email addresses or any nonsense like that. If you'd like to grab those free downloads, you can find access info here - storywitch.com/community. Just let me know if you have any problems. There are a BUNCH of them about the Vampire Queen series characters as well (wink).
I'm so happy you loved Keldwyn and Uthe's story. I do promise to have you a new VQS book in 2017. Just not sure if it will be spring or fall, depending on whether Regina/Marius step in front of them. I'll keep you all posted, no worries!

LaTia, I don't think you're alone in that interest. There's been a lot of interest in that vampire and his wolf shifter, to the point they've been sending me inspirational pictures! If you go to my Pinterest board for Night's Templar (where we met Cai/Rand), you'll see some eye catching ideas! https://www.pinterest.com/jwhill23/th....

You're very welcome! He's made his presence known through several books, hasn't he? It was in Divine Solace he really intrigued me, though, because that was when some further snippets came through. Like that he works part-time security there because a lot of the Mistresses won't have anything to do with him - he's too much of a pain in the ass (lol). That was when I felt the definite ping: "Oh yeah, he needs his own story."

Dotty, yes, unfortunately I think Cai and Rand eclipsed Alistair and Nina in a heartbeat. It may be an indication that, when I do write about them (Nina/Alistair), it needs to be a novella or short freebie. We'll see. Oh, and hope you noticed that Clara and Marcellus from the Daughters of Arianne are going to visit us in Medusa's Heart. Know you love the mermaid/angel series! It's been nice to visit them again. Hope you're having a wonderful summer.

Teri, now there's a couple that DOES need a second book. I'd like to see how they adjust to the "real" vampire world as well. I have that same interest in Dante/Alexis of A Mermaid's Ransom as well. Those are both on my In the Works page as "percolating". So many books to write, so little time! :>

Thank you, Julia! It'll be a bit of a different book for me, but I think sometimes the muse just needs to do something different to make me come back fresh to the series. Hope you all will like it!

That's what intrigues me ab/him! What'll it take to get him to purr & be a good boy. I'm excited to find out.
Thanks again for the updates! :)

OKW - you're very welcome! I can't wait to get into their story as well. Thanks for being interested. :>

Will you also write a sequel to Rough Canvas? I heart that book so much and I know there's nothing left to tell but I adore Marcus and Thomas :)
