What am I supposed to do? she wondered, while she supposed that the new day had already come. Amelia was certain she had slept the whole night and looked forward to seeing the sun’s rays. She already missed the blue sky and the deep blue color of the ocean.
The moment she got out from the closet and realized there was still dark, she wanted to scream. She pulled her long hair away from her pale face and took a deep breath, doing her best to abstain from panic-stricken reactions. She walked to the door and placed her head on the cold surface while paying attention to every single sound. She used to fear the darkness. She missed the daylight and the man that had promised he would stand by her side forever.
The following minutes she was able to understand there were some unexpected changes. The heat was gone; the cold air kept assaulting her face and the naked parts of her skin, giving birth to many silent, sneaky questions about the place she was in. She didn’t mind taking off her black dress and high heels.
What the hell, she whispered and headed toward the balcony of the cabin where she opened the door slowly, and stepped outside...
