The First Time He Pulled My Hair – Stretching Limits

Boundary Pushing and Stretching Limits (in bed and books)

The first time my husband played with wrapping a fist in my hair and pulling my head back during sex I reported to him afterward that I didn’t like it. It kinda hurt (not that spanking doesn’t, but that’s a hurt I crave more) and it sort of pissed me off (heh–pain will do that to you).  He said, “Oh really? Because you got super wet.”

Oh.  I realized sometimes the things that push our boundaries still turn us on.

We all have boundaries. There are things I read about that I’m not ready or willing to try in real life (yet).  Breath play scares the crap out of me. When I read Annabel Joseph’s   Rough Love  series, it really pushed my boundaries. I was angry at her for taking me to some of those places (and of course, I love her for doing it so damn well).

Of course, after reading Rough Love, the heroes in my books were suddenly willing to take things further than they used to. Funny how my boundaries stretched. It was the same way for me with both medical BDSM and ageplay books. At first I was sure I wouldn’t like them and I refused to read those books, but eventually I tried them out (and wrote them) and now I love them as much as I love any D/s book.

A year ago, Alta Hensley and I were sharing drinks at a conference and she said she’d like to do a very dirty, very non-con sci-fi box set, and she asked me if I’d like to join. Of course, I said, “hell, yeah!” and we assembled the dream team (Sue Lyndon, Kallista Dane, Aubrey Cara, Alta and myself).

The result may push your boundaries. We can’t warn you on Amazon without getting put in the Amazon “dungeon” but there are non-consensual elements like forced sex, humiliation, slavery, ownership, spanking, slapping and intrusive medical examinations to these books and I can assure you they are smoking hot!!

Note– “dark romance” is the Amazon-friendly wink-wink to clue readers into dubious or non-consensual elements.

I hope you’ll give them a try, but I did feel like I had to warn you.
