Setlock Recap, 7.13.16
We started off the day with filming on Bute Street in Cardiff. It was definitely for Sherlock as a green BRO sign was spotted, along with crew member Nic Pringle, but sadly we were too late on the scene to see much other than some lighting and reportedly a van full of supporting actors leaving the set. This location is essentially in the same place as the drug den from HLV; however, it appeared based on the lighting placement that they were likely filming on the first storey of Cory Chambers–the building immediately next door–and not at the former Customs and Immigration House which served as the drug den.

Arwel gave us a pic from the second location for today, which was the Cardiff Bay Barrage where they were filming on a fishing boat called Tunnara II (the boat’s real name, not one made up for the show). Smoke/fog effects were in use, and two fishermen (played by supporting actors Richard Crehan and Ralph Inerson–the same as at Tenby) were on board the boat. In the scene that was being filmed, reportedly one of the fishermen (the one played by Richard) leans over the railing, coughs a lot, takes a sip of something, and then goes back inside the cabin. (More pics here: 1 and 2)
Following this, Martin and Ben arrived to the set and joined the fishermen on the boat, though they were on the roof of the cabin while the fishermen were on the deck at the back of the boat. The scene begins with John crouched down next to Sherlock who is standing. John stands, goes to the edge of the roof, and points his gun at the fishermen. After this, Sherlock jumps off the roof, down on to the deck. They filmed the scene with both of them on the roof, and then Martin left so they could put a camera where he had been to film it again. (This bit of the scene with them on the roof reportedly ended with Ben faking the start of the jump, so we know that the jump should be a continuation of that same scene.) This is reported to be scene number 25. (More pics here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10)
Benjamin Caron had some fun with the Prisma app and gave us a picture of a toilet from today and a picture of what appears to be him and Andrew Scott, probably from the filming at Dunraven Bay based on the background.

Usman Akram was revealed to be playing an MI5 agent in episode 2.
Adding to the

promotional fun at San Diego Comic Con, the Nerdist announced that they will have a very brief interview with the Sherlock gang on Saturday, July 23 at 3:15 PM PST.

Big big big thanks to @futureofthemasses, @hotsmugstache, and @xxboonesgirlxx over on twitter for taking great pics and reporting the details for all of us and answering my hundreds of questions so that I could compile this recap. Y’all are superstars. xx
