Is it true that Image Comics has put your title Crosswinds on hiatus while the book has to search for a new artist because you and Cat Staggs had "creative differences" so she left the project

Oh, Jesus, no. Where does this stuff come from?

First, Cat Staggs is THE Crosswind artist. There is no one else. She is turning in amazing pages, unlike anything she’s ever done.

Second, there’s no ‘creative differences.’  I am absolutely in love with Cat, I adore her, I adore her work, she is not just the artist, we are co-creators and she is co-owner. We have never had one word of disagreement creatively, not a single one.

We announced a little too early and both of us got hit with personal things that took up a little time. But we’ve caught up and the pages are coming out gorgeous. It’s taken a little extra time, but it’s absolutely worth it. And Image has been wonderful. We all wanted it to come out a little sooner, and I apologize to everyone for that.

But Cat is the JAM, and I would never want to step on her toes creatively. She draws like a bandit and I’m wild about her, and about this book. It’s incredibly dear to my heart. It’s still coming, there will be an announcement very soon.

People say weird stuff. I can’t remember the last time I had genuine ‘creative differences’ with an artist, it’s been years and years, and with Cat, there is total trust and awe at what she does. I wanted to work with her for years and I’m lucky it’s happening. :)

I LOVE YOU CAT STAGGS!
