A moment about writing
In this day, we can all publish our books. Not something I was familiar with when i first started this venture 15 or so years ago. Back then you had to send out query letters to agents, publisher, etc. Basically your, hi i am nobody from nowhere and i have a great story. Most of the time, we were rejected before they even read a sentence. So here we are in 2016, and the world is a different place. I spent 10 years working on this story, or series if you will. I rewrote it countless times and finally had to stop one day and say, this is it. It is a frightening thing, releasing your work out to the public. Will they like it? Will they hate it? But in the end, i made the choice to put it out there. I know not everyone will like it, that would be stupid to think that way. But if i can entertain a few, give someone a escape for a day on the beach reading it, then it is all worth it. With risk comes the haters, and the others who really do appreciate the thing you tried to do, which is simply to bring a smile, a tear to their faces. When someone tells me they didn't do their housework all day because they had to read the next part...ah well there is the point. Thank you to all who have supported me on this journey, fans and non fans alike.
