'According to the Washington Post, 505 people been killed by police across the United States so far this year. African Americans — especially young Black men — are disproportionately the target of police violence. Well, to talk about the fatal police shootings in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, we are joined now by two guests. Marc Lamont Hill is a journalist, Distinguished Professor of African American Studies at Morehouse College. and author of Nobody: Casualties of America’s War on the Vulnerable, from Ferguson to Flint and Beyond and and Mychal Denzel Smith, contributing writer for The Nation magazine.
