It's summer and the grill is going! Everyone knows that it's time for that special weekend meal that will satisfy the entire family.

Here's my take on some delicious ribs!

Barbecued Ribs

5 lbs. pork ribs

½ tsp. garlic powder

3 T. brown sugar

3 T. crushed red pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. ground cumin

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Place ribs on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.  Sprinkle with garlic powder.  Cover and bake for 2 hours.  Cool.

In a bowl, mix sugar, red pepper, salt, and cumin.  Rub the mixture all over the cooled ribs.  Cover and refrigerate overnight

The next day, using a small pan, mix:

 1 cup katsup

1 T. brown sugar

1 tsp. mustard

½ cup chili sauce

½ cup Worcestershire sauce

½ tsp. lime juice

1 small onion chopped

½ cup vinegar

Simmer, stirring occasionally,  for 1 hour on low heat.

 Preheat grill

Place ribs on grill; baste with sauce, until browned.

 Serves 10
