Dark Desire Series, is there light at the end?
I want to start this entry with an apology. I have been a bit out of pattern with my post and that is due to summer being here in the Canadian Rockies. We only get 90 days of true summer so we have to take full advantage of it. So from here until September my post will be haphazard.
The fourth book in the Dark Desire Series, Facade’s Salvation is finished and I am starting edits and rewrites. The release on Smashwords is July 23rd. I chose that date due to my heading off camping for two weeks. I had intended to start the fifth book, and change the point of view to Johari but after some thought, I’m going to take a breather.
It’s not that I am bored with writing the series but book 4 ends at a good place. The other issue is when I re-released Unveiling Facade, I had intended to write a different story. That got pushed back due to the popularity of the story and you readers wanting more.
So while summer will make my time more irregular, I thought this would be a good time to write a different story. The theme will remain the same, the flawed female, thrown in a situation where she finds comfort in dark erotica will be continued. I will probably target September for release.
If you’re looking for a good read in the more classical BDSM genre, I recommend Drew Sera’s, “Fragile”. It’s a complex story of three people, two Doms, and a “broken” sub. The story gives a solid view of the BDSM lifestyle and an in-depth relationship in how Doms interact with submissives. The sex is sublime and Drew builds it realistically. Now I am back to reading Amiya Powell’s “The the Rabbit Hole.” Here is the blurb from GoodReads: (here is the Amazon link https://amzn.com/B01BKYY2P8 )
“The young and precocious Alexia has spent two years battling for survival on the streets of New York City, where rabid predators lurk at every turn. Dabbling in everything from drugs to prostitution, she is a lost soul, wandering the urban wilderness for a place to belong. The only thing that can save her from a downward spiral of self-destruction is to know someone cares. Anyone. Her fortunes seem to take a turn for the better, but she soon learns that the opportunity of a lifetime comes with a hefty price tag. With the help of a feisty elderly woman, a dominatrix with a troubled past, and a cross-dressing millionaire, Alexia embarks on a journey that will force her to question who she is and who she wants to be, but she may never be able to escape the rabbit hole.
Ever since Ming was recruited by an underground organization that leases women to the wealthy, her sister YiYi hasn’t heard a word from her. The authorities have no interest in another missing hooker, so it is up to YiYi to find her. A savant with a gift for puzzles, YiYi is suddenly plagued by bizarre visions that put her skills and sanity to the ultimate test. In a scheme to rescue her sister, she takes advantage of the desperate and trusting Alexia, leading them both into a bizarre web of secrets with unimaginable consequences.
Nothing is as it seems in this twisted tale of sex, power, and conspiracy theory. Unpredictable, provocative, and surprisingly human, The Rabbit Hole will keep you guessing until the very last chapter. The characters leap from the pages and demand to be heard. This is life and erotica at its best, and will leave you breathlessly begging for an encore.”
Currently “The Rabbit Hole” ranks 548 out of 5900 titles in the Erotica/Mystery category. Congrats Amiya!
