MINI BELIEVE IT OR NOT –

The black sapote is also known as chocolate pudding fruit because it tastes and feels like chocolate pudding.

The trees are tropical and native to Eastern Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Colombia
The black sapote fruit are tomato like
The skin is inedible and turns from olive to a deep yellow-green color when ripe
The flesh of the fruit starts out white and inedible, but assumes the color, taste, and texture of chocolate pudding when ripe

MINI BION
“BIONs” – short for Believe It or Not – is the word we use at Ripley’s to refer to anything that is unbelievable and worthy to become part of Ripley’s lore and collection.
