It's as old asApple Pie.It was once the most popular sport in theUnited States.It'sPopcorn,Peanuts,andCracker Jack.It isAmericana.The Major LeagueAll Star Gameis held after theJuly 4th Holiday.This year it will be in beautifulSan Diego.I know it is beautiful because I live close byand have been there many times.I am going to aMajor League Baseball Gametonight.The home team,The Milwaukee Brewers,will be hostingThe Los Angeles Dodgers.The Brewers may no longer be theBambi Bombersof old,who under managerGeorge Bamberger,had such great players that includedRobin Yount,Paul Molitor,Cecil Cooper,Gorman ThomasandBen Oglivie.That team took theBrewersto theWorld Seriesin 1982.They took theSt. Louis Cardinalsto a seventh game in that series before finally losing in the closing innings.I don't know if I am going to buyPopcorn,Peanuts,orCracker Jack.I do know that I'll buy at least one beer.What the Hell.Milwaukeeis famous for it'sBreweries,and I am famous for drinking their wares.No I am not drinkingand driving,Mom!Here to sing"Take Me Out To The Ballgame"is none other thanWilliam Hung.Who was so bad onAmerican IdolinSeason Three,that the crowd cheered him onand he became a cult hero of sorts.We all know himand love him,William Hung!
