Hey, sorry I haven’t posted an update for a bit. A few of you have asked, so I thought I’d just say. I’ve been a bit stressed out lately, for a few reasons: 

The language school I work for got sold to another company (we weren’t informed until after it was done) and I don’t like the new company at all so far. Their program is crap and full of mistakes and they’re extremely self-righteous.

I’m moving this Friday, so I’m just busy with packing on the surface, and looking at my life in general beneath the surface. I had to buy appliances for the first time in my life (fridge, stove, washer, dryer) and sell some of my current crappy furniture (futon) and buy other things (bed), so it’s just eaten up a lot of my time. I’m also moving to a different neighbourhood where the rent is a little cheaper, and it’s been a mental adjustment to that, too. I love my current neighbourhood and the new one is okay, too, just different. And slightly less handy to the bus, but my apartment will be twice as big, so there’s that. Currently I live in what’s called a 2.5, which means a studio with a separate kitchen, and it’s in the basement. I’m moving to a 4.5, which is a two-bedroom. It’s on the second floor and has a balcony. I’m excited. :)

My (family) dog had major surgery today and I’ve been sick with fear over that. He seems to be okay so far, though he has to wear the collar of shame. I hate that he’s half a continent away and that I couldn’t go with my mom to take him in. 

I’ve also been having my own health issue of late that’s messed around with my body quite a bit. Hopefully that’s going to get sorted out soon, but there are a lot of tests coming up in the future. Thanks be for free health care. I wish everyone had it. It should be considered a basic human right!! 

I’m still working concurrently on chapter 9 of my novel and a new Johnlock fic, but it’s been slow going lately because I’ve been so busy. But it’s all coming, I promise!!
