How far would you go for your art?

In a piece of performance art called Rhythm O in 1974, the artist gave her audience complete freedom for six hours to use any object on her from 72 that she had first laid out on a table. The objects included a scalpel and a loaded gun. I don't know how far I would go for my art but I know I wouldn't go this far.
