New Website – New Book!

Well, I suppose a new site means a new book on the horizon!

The book is a thriller titled, THE GOOD SPY DIES TWICE – I like to think of it as a bit of James Bond in a Stephen King novel.

I can’t wait to share it with everyone. Below is a short synopsis. Please sign up for my newsletter (even if you already did with the last book, IDENTITY – yes, I lost my old list) and be the first to hear about release dates, cover reveals, promos and other good stuff.

Oh yes, and a big shout out to Oren Goldman and the good folk at WOWMI for the fancy new headshot. It takes a lot to get a guy like me looking this thriller-y (including a jacket-loaner).

Hope everyone is having a good one—

Mark

“THE GOOD SPY DIES TWICE.”

These are the final cryptic words from a convicted murderer – a man who claimed he’d killed for the CIA – moments before his execution. The words haunt Jake Boxer, anchor of the cable news show Bullseye, currently honeymooning in Blind River, a posh ski resort in the rugged Alaskan mountains.

But Blind River wasn’t always a quaint ski town. It was once part of White Alice, a massive telecommunication network that had been used as an early warning system for Soviet nukes during the Cold War — a military installation long dismantled.

Or so Jake thought.

Soon after arriving in Blind River, Jake is drawn into a complex and deadly conspiracy involving his newlywed wife, the owner of the ski resort, and the hundred or so “guests” at the hotel. The plot threatens not only national security but his new wife’s life as well.

Described as James Bond in a Stephen King novel, THE GOOD SPY DIES TWICE is rich with atmosphere, complex and fast-paced. It’s part spy thriller, part whodunit and introduces an exciting new hero, the intrepid, conspiratorial journalist, Jake Boxer.
