As I mentioned Amigo, immigration is but a lesser, contributing factor. It is however, a contributing factor.I agree that immigration is but a nudge compared to the shove of the enormous British financial contribution to the EU that annoys the opposition.
I understand your POV.
Is there little doubt that Brexit will destabilize the rest of Europe? Is immigration not a contributing factor?
Yes, it will destabilize; it's the kind of "crisis" one needs to grow up. To wake up,But there are theories, like the CIA which created the EU; and the NATO issue. It's complicated.
Trust me, Amigo, no one, NO ONE, in the CIA is smart enough to create something like the EU. The CIA is good at destabilizing weak governments through bribery and assassinating people like the Diem brothers and Orlando Letelier, but they have never, ever been accused of being very smart.
Interesting. I am sure there were similar, concurring spheres of thought within Europe before anyone at the CIA ever dreamt of an EU. At the time, it was a natural reaction to the Eastern Bloc.
I would never give anyone, including Donovan, credit for such sophistication.
Did you know that Julia Child of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," fame was one of Donovan's OSS employees in Asia during WWII?
I will give him credit for hiring one of my very few heroes/heroines.

As you know I wrote many letters to my friend-of-old Voltaire; one had this content: "Sir,
Again the EU-thing. Yesterday, I was informed that, they [EUthingers!!] , EU officials, more than 10,000 are paid above the UK PM salary [£142,000]. And the number of allowences?? you cannot imagine!!! Even free Viagra!! Some day I will explain you about the Viagra. No time now.
Have a good day!
25th May 2016".
It's the Eurocrats!!; it's the unelected presidency (several "presidents!" indeed) of a Union, that's un-democratic. That's what Brexit is about.
In my view BREXIT is welcome; it's a wake up call to other nations.
