Hey, Lisette, great interview. I'm reading the Desert Series right now and am totally hooked (or hoooooked--as a character in the movie Midnight in Paris says!).

Christa, thank you so much! It means so much to me that you're enjoying the series! Good luck with the new book in your series, Finding Angelo.Maria, thank you so much for all of the kind words and for having me as a guest on your blog. I'm a fan of your work, too. Most recently, I really loved your short story collection, Lost and Found.

Thank you, Lisette :) x
This is a terrific interview! I, too, am a huge fan of Lisette Brodey's writing. Genre doesn't matter to me - I enjoy all of her books and don't ignore one because it's not my favorite genre. In Lisette Brodey's hands, every genre is enjoyable. Once I've finished on, I can't wait for the next!

I like reading all sorts of genres :) Thanks for reading the interview. Glad you enjoyed it.
I've learned, Lisette, that you do practice what you preach. Each of your novels attest to the fact that you practice your own advice regarding writing, editing, and publishing. Every time I tell a friend about one I say is my favorite, I recall poignant, exciting segments that are in the others. Each one sits on the top shelf of my bookcase; that's just how it is.Great blog, Maria! I've got to find the time to tune more in to your posts. More so, though, I need to squeeze in time to read, including a few MS books on my to-read list.

Thanks for reading, Jen! Glad you enjoyed the interview :)
Great interview. I particularly liked your point about word count - a story is finished when it's finished.
