First Line Friday – Operation Date Night
With the final release for the Monstrous Matchmaker series on the horizon, it’s time to take a look at a few first lines (more like first pages, amirite?!?!) for Operation Date Night!
So….
A werewolf, a minotaur, and a dragon walk into a cave…
If that wasn’t the start of a fantastically raunchy joke—one Ari would undoubtedly love—Liam didn’t know what was.
In this instance, it was less a joke and more the literal truth.
The werewolf was brimming with energy as he strode into the main room, his thumbs tucked into the front pocket of his jeans. He had the look of a man who’d been well satisfied by his mate and didn’t care who knew it.
Turning his attention to the minotaur, Liam studied him. Akakios had recently become involved with a sweetly shy werewolf, and the bull-man also had an aura of satisfaction around him. Apparently his wolf turned into a bit of a biter when they got busy. Liam counted no less than three visible sets of teeth marks on the minotaur’s brawny body.
He’d met with the dragon this morning to set up this meeting and Max dipped his head in greeting as he settled his bulk into the large cavern.
They were a motley group by any standards, but Liam counted the three males as friends. More importantly, he knew they all held Ari in high regard and would do what they could to help her.
Considering Ari’s well-being was why he’d asked them all here, that last part was key.
