Not much, just that he's writing the ending because he wanted to be sure nobody else writes it for him after he dies. He also said that he was pretty sure he would go back and write more books in the Shannara series, but at earlier points in time, to fill in gaps.

It sounded as if he was writing the final book(s) or something :(
