Title Help!

Hello there

I'm halfway through Book 3 of The Wonder and was hoping for some input...

As you may know, the titles are colour-based (due to the magic system used) -
The Wonder 1: Blood Red
The Wonder 2: Deep Blue

(This is brilliant considering I am completely colourblind but never mind that...)

I need 3 to be...
The Wonder 3: red-blue and green-blue

Obviously that's a rubbish title, so I was thinking
The Wonder 3: Turquoise & Amethyst
or
The Wonder 3: Violet & Cerulean

or combinations thereof...

I'm worried they just sound a bit too cuddly/YA Fantasy but they do feel rather Victorian, which is apt for the time period.

Also, does anyone know of other colour results from combining Red/blue and green/blue?

Any help will be gratefully received!

Cheers

James

Stjepan Cobets Hi Dave,

"Magenta and Cyan"
The combination of red and blue is Magenta, a combination of blue and green is Cyan. This might help in the choice of the title of the book.

Thanks, Stjepan! You're right, but I don't like the words themselves.

What about -
The Wonder 3: Amethyst/Amarinthine and Verdigris?
Or vice versa?
OR
The Wonder 3: Viridian and Amarinthine/Amethyst
or vice versa?

Stjepan Cobets Maybe amethyst and turquoise. Green and blue give color turquoise.

James Devo I think I have it. Amethyst is perfect as it sounds weaponistic, and Verdigris is perfect because it comes from weathered copper.

I think, and you're the very first to know it, which is great as you're a poet, is -
The Wonder: Verdigris & Amethyst

Stjepan Cobets It looks great. I as a poet can confirm. :)

Eric Tanafon On the other hand, Viridian and Verdigris sounds great--it has that alliteration thing going for it!

James Devo Hi Eric. Great to hear from you. Yes you're right but they mean the same thing - blue/green.
I think I'm going to do just The Wonder: Verdigris.
(I was tempted for a minute to do Pure Green -

Oops, definitely a fatal flaw. Anyway, I do like the color reference being just one word.

James Devo As this will probably be the last in the series (or at least of this story arc), I think the one word also denotes a certain finality to it.
