Monthly Roundup: May 2016

This is late, but whew has this month been intense so far.

Last month:

Writing:

Last month I finished editing Shattered Minds, read through it for typos, re-proofed Pantomime, did an online 2 week screenwriting course through FutureLearn/The University of East Anglia, and wrote a lot of guest posts for False Hearts promotion. It worked out to around 15,486 of new prose and 10,718 of nonfiction for a monthly total of 26,204 and a yearly subtotal of 145,559 words.

Travel & Life:

I went to Edinburgh at the start of the month to see my friend Elizabeth May. I also went to Kemnay in Aberdeenshire for a school visit. Otherwise I didn’t travel anywhere. Last month was very much about clearing the decks and getting ready for the book launch. Things are still a bit uncertain as to whether or not we’re moving. Uncertainty is difficult!

Plans for next month:

Well, this month is already almost half over, so I’ll save this for the next roundup, really. Short answer: do all the things.
