While this article (which I wrote before my presidential campaign started) is not policy I am advocating for, I can't help but revisit it and think of all the lives--including those tragically lost today in Florida--that could have been saved had the world not been religious. Religious dogma and the people that believe in it are at odds with using reason to live their lives. Religious people are dangerous precisely because their thinking crosses over to ideas that can't be defended by logic--which our entire species depends upon for survival and progress.
