By the way, I've noticed a lot of interest in the book, but haven't seen a whole lot of added to your "to read" shelves. If you haven't done so already, I would greatly appreciate it. I would hate for you to miss out on a title you are actually interested in. The link is at the top of this post.

And yes, I say "we" because I need your help in getting the word out about this contest. If you've been following this particular blog entry, you already know that our biggest day was from contestants forwarding on my email and sending information to friends about this contest.
I will keep posting on this blog until we finally reach our goal of 150 contestants, and then with the first name of the winner of the FREE Kobo E-Reader!
I honestly cannot wait to give this thing away. I think it's a great opportunity for someone to check out a whole new world of books the same way that I have.
I purchased a nook after needing to read ebooks for my college studies. I was totally against getting one until I found that it was a necessity for my schoolwork. Now I use it all the time and it saves me a lot of time and hassle of dragging out the next book from my library or needing a great resource in my research for my current projects.
Hopefully, by the end of August I will be posting up a FREE version of Life of Death, a separate novel that is unrelated to the Growing Dim series that is still underway. Which by the way, Book Two: Popular Jazz should be released by Christmas of 2011.
This extra post has been long enough. Please "like" my work on amazon, nook, or here on goodreads. Add my book to your "to read" shelves and pass the word around that someone is going to get a FREE Kobo E-Reader (a $99 Value) simply by answering a few questions.
Again, thanks for reading. Until tomorrow.
Nicholas.

I have noticed that since I have asked for people to add my work to their shelves, the cover that looks like this

If you have already added this cover

I know, it's confusing, and as much as I would like to just remove the Black and White cover, I did not want to lose any possibilities of someone picking up the right copy.
Thanks for your understanding.
Nicholas.

Book One: The Growing Dim Project
Hello everyone,
WE are now up to 52 contestants and I am officially out of funds for the advertising for this contest. I am now relying on YOU to get the word out so that we can reach our goal of 150 contestants total.
So far, I can say that most of the contestants are from referrals from others that have already entered and I thank you for that, it is greatly appreciated!!
It is July 18th and we still have 12 days before we can reach our goal. there are many ways you can let people know about this:
1. Add The Growing Dim Project to your "to reads" shelf.
2. Add yourself as a FAN of my reviews.
3. Follow this blog.
4. Use the link on www.amazon.com and wwwn.nook.com to like The Growing Dim Project through your Facebook page.
All of these things help get the word out to your social sites about this contest. Again, I thank you all in advance for entering and sharing the information on how others can enter as well.
Thanks and Good Luck!
Nicholas A. McGirr

That will be a very easy and quick way to help get the word out.
Thanks and please let me know what you are doing to help get the word out! Post it here to this blog!
Nicholas.

Book One: The Growing Dim Project

Thanks. I greatly appreciate it. Good luck and please forward to other friends .

Hey folks, I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard efforts you guys have put in for this contest!!
We are almost up to 60 entries, and I thought I would say that I may be "off the air" for a few days as I take my family camping, so updates may be fewer than normal.
Please continure forwarding over the links to this blog so others can enter this contest and I can send out the FREE Kobo Ereader to the winner!
Here's to having a great week, I'll post again by this Friday.
Nicholas.

Hello everyone,
I'm back from my camping trip and just thought I would drop an update on the contest.
We are now up to 60 contestants and we have 8 days left to reach a high goal of 150 total contestants. As you know from previous posts, I have reached my budget for advertising this contest so now I am relying on YOU, the person who has already entered to tell as many friends and family about this contest. I know it's a high number to reach from where we are, but we can make the attempt simply by "liking" this post, becoming a fan of my work, and there are many other ways:
1. Visit my amazon page and use the "Facebook Like" tag.
2. On amazon, if you have an account, you can tag The Growing Dim Project as "Paranormal" on the bottom of the page.
3. On barnesandnoble.com, you can do the "Facebook Like" tag there.
4. Forward this to all your Goodreads friends.
5. Once you make a comment on this blog, your friends here on goodreads will see the link on their page.
Like I said a thousand times, I thank you for all your efforts so that I can give away this FREE Kobo E-Reader to one lucky winner.
I will be using random.org to figure out the winner simply by placing the email addresses in the system and allowing the randomizer to do all the work.
If there are any other questions, feel free to ask here on this blog, I'm sure your question will benefit everyone.
Again, thanks for reading and good luck!
Nicholas.

Don't forget to reccommend Book One: The Growing Dim Project to your friends here on goodreads!!

WE are getting down to the wire and we still need quite a few contestants. Please forward a link to your friends here on goodreads about this contest.
Respond to my "event" here on goodreads about the announcement of the winner or respond here to this blog. I'm curious to know who's excited about winning the FREE Kobo!!
Nicholas.

If I remember correctly, I had a pique day at about 20 entries. Thank you!!
Nicholas.

If you have already entered, please let friends know or you can simply "Like" this blog, become a fan of my work, check out my quotes, etc etc.
I appreciate all you "fans" have done to get this contest off the ground. There has been some amazing results that I wasn't expecting and a great number of you said some great things about the sample. I hope you all enjoy what you have read so far because there is more to come later this year.
Again, there are only 5 days left in this contest and I am out of advertising funds due to the large number that queried about the contest. Please let friends know about this on your social sites and email.
Until I post again, have a wonderful reading day! Post on this blog what you are excited about for this contest!
Nicholas.

I greatly appreciate all your efforts in helping me promote this contest. The response to this was actually above what I was expecting.
My ultimate goal for this contest was to gain exposure for my first ebook: Book One: The Growing Dim Project. I achieved that with some help by Indie Snippets and some author friends I have made here on goodreads. The exposure of my first ebook is literally all over the internet now.
So with all that being said, let's not stop promoting this, there is still the weekend to go. Even with the original 63 contestants, the exposure of this book still needs to be known. I hope that you have enjoyed the anticipation as much as I have and I cannot wait to make the announcement Sunday night of the winner.
Again, if you are new to this blog, please read the orignal post to find out how you can win a FREE Kobo Ereader Sunday night.
As always,
Thanks for reading.
Nicholas.

One thing you can do to spread the word about my first ebook: Book One: The Growing Dim Project is to recommend my book to your friends here on goodreads. Simply hit the link provided and find the "recommend" button. It will ask you to whom do you wish to recommend this book? Just add whoever you think might be interested in this dark paranormal book about greek mythology and music. I'm just looking for people to "add to their shelves" here on goodreads of potential readers!!
All your efforts are greatly appreciated!!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned Sunday at midnight to wait for the winner!
Nicholas.
