I'm Alexa Verde, and I write sweet, wholesome books about faith, love, and murder. My novella, Scent of Danger, features a small-town cop, who puts her life on the line to find her missing twin sister.
What is my favorite summer destination? Let's say, it's not Bahamas or Caribbean. I do find the whisper of the ocean soothing, the scent refreshing, and the golden color of the sun setting into water gorgeous. But I prefer the soothing sound of jacuzzi with the refreshing peach scent of the bubble bath.
And at some time, any new destination was a favorite vacation spot for me. I could take off at a drop of a hat. Moscow, Russia? Yes! Vilnius, Lithuania? Sure, when do we leave? Nienburg, Germany? Absolutely, what do I need to do to go there? What, learn German? No problem at all! Warsaw, Poland? Sounds fantastic!
These days, the hat doesn't drop very often. I do travel sometimes, but mostly throughout Texas. I explored marine life, enjoyed strawberries at the Strawberry Fest, and tried to figure out differences between stalagmites and stalactites in the caverns.
Now, my favorite summer destination is in a comfortable chair with a breeze from air conditioner and a great book in my hands. I travel to many wonderful places that way, if only in my imagination.
That said, one day I'd love to visit Spain. Where would you like to go one day?
