A short story about love, fear, faith and communication with a few twists.
A man pushes away his family and wife, but why? Is it a mid-life crisis? has he lost his love for them? What possible reason could drive a man to isolate himself in a cold-hearted fashion towards his family?
Available from Amazon Kindle StoreOkay, so I’ve been busy writing, my novella, Reaching Alice, which is now on sale at the Amazon Kindle store.  It's a short story which follows a day in the life of tormented protagonist, Michael Morris, a man who has an uncontrollable fear - he has lost any faith he had, his passion for life and is on the verge of losing his high school sweetheart - his wife, Alice.

There is an undergoing theme within the story that I feel relates to us all, Michael's journey is a physical one, but primarily a psychological one - that takes place within 24 hours (from the readers perspective) but Michael has been on this journey since the Summer of 2011, which was a year and four months before.

Time is a key factor, I feel sometimes life can change that rapidly, our thoughts change, the challenges we face, things that influence us and the choices we make. A single day can have a great effect on us for better or for worse.

"Reaching Alice" synopsis …

Michael Morris is a twenty-nine-year-old man who was living a very fortunate life with a loving family around him.

He still has a loving family around him, but a tragic event that he had no control over - and wasn't prepared for - changed him and his thinking.

Haunted by what happened during the Summer of 2011, a deep fear constantly terrifies his mind, and because of it he faces the risk of losing his family and his high school sweetheart - his wife, Alice.

"Reaching Alice" is available worldwide on Amazon Kindle.
