The Festival of Samhain on October 31st is the beginning of the Celtic (and Wiccan) New Year. Samhain simply means 'Summer's end'.

This festival is how the ancient Celts celebrated nature's cycle of death (at the beginning of winter) ready for rebirth in spring. Samhain marks the end of harvest-time and the beginning of the Celtic New Year.

It is one of the four Celtic fire festivals held at the quarter year equinoxes, when fires are lit to ward off evil and to look forward to the warmth of summer's sun once more.
Samhain is a time for magic when Druids foretell the future and young people attempt to discover their true love. It is a time to leave the mistakes and regrets of the past behind and anticipate a bright new future.

I am looking forward to a new novel release - I have just sold my 2nd full-length erotic romance - "PI Honeytrap" to my publisher - so watch this space....
