Transcended update

I've topped 30,000 words on Transcended and I've only scratched the surface of the story. It's taking a little longer to get to the heart of it than I had hoped. Many readers have short attention spans these days and I fear some will put it down as boring due to the lack of "excitement" that was so frequent in The Sorcerer's Path. Transcended is more of a Huck Fynn meets Bad Santa kind of story. Most of the fun is in the dialogue and my hero's character and not in epic battles and flashy displays of magic. I hope my narrative and dialog is entertaining enough to keep readers' interest.
