I discovered Jim Zub a few weeks ago. He's a writer who published with Image Comics in 2010 and now his career is really growing. He has a really useful blog about getting published, that I have be devouring.

But all the reading led me to more questions that he didn't have answers for written down in his blog, so I thought, "I could just ask Jim myself."

Normally, this is when that thought would roll over and die, because I don't try to meet people unless I have to, especially not on the internet. But the world of comic creation is a lot smaller than film, and books for that matter. So I thought I'd give Jim a try. What could it hurt, right?

I contacted him through his website with my question, and he responded to my email with a great answer in less-than an hour! I asked him another question and - ANOTHER RESPONSE!

So, I'm pretty sure Jim Zub and I are best friends now.

I know I shouldn't be surprised. Like I said, the comics industry isn't exactly Hollywood. Networking is just that simple, I just need to do it. They're just a bunch of regular people who happen to be published, and all I need to do is start the conversation.
