Welcome to the World of -M.C.o9- *, or rather the webpage/blog. Here, I'll be keeping things up to date on all things Mystic Club o9**, among some of my other stories, and projects to come.
Oh...how rude of me...you should probably know who this is, first.
I'm Robs--Robyn Lloyd, as my author's name will say--. and I am the author and cover artist of my new (and first published) series, Erstwhile Beginning; AKA Mystic Club o9. Erstwhile Beginning is pretty much a prequel to Mystic Club o9, as it's of the main characters from -M.C.o9-'s parents in all their youthful glory. Mystic Club o9 is a story I've been developing since late 2001, so you can imagine the excitement of finally having part of it down and even in print. But I digress, don't wanna give you too much info with them just yet ;p.
I will paraphrase Nothing Is As It Seems--the first novel of Erstwhile Beginning--, though, and give a better insight into where and what they all are.
Mystic Club o9 is set in a universe where all things technology mix with modern and older day living styles. Their world is quite a place, creatures and humans of all shapes, sizes, and species, live day to day, just as we would, and more. Though there are different planets with inhabitants, this part of the story is set more on just one main planet.
The two main characters of Erstwhile Beginning are Kage and Niccolo, two young Bounty Hunters just starting out in the fast-paced world they've come to know within the last few years. They work for a faction of bounty hunters, a place that houses, trains, and employs hundreds of them. Usually called B. Hunters or just Hunters, they're a secretive organization that nearly perfects the art of bounty hunting, and beyond.
In this installment, it's that time of the year when the local city's law enforcements are all busy up to their necks in other towns, and the faction must pick of the slack, which of course adds to their already full and still growing schedules. But, this gives Nic and Kage, 20 and raring to go as long as there's action involved, a chance to really sink their teeth into more than just paperwork and boring survalience.
They discover something off about this current Bounty head they're gathering information on, and even stranger things about his associates. Nic and Kage quickly learn that there's more to their choice in work than meets the eye, and it ends up dragging them through whole new levels of experiences that will set the tempo for the rest of their Bounty Hunting careers, and their lives.
That about sums it up, without giving too much away. I hope that this is more than just a first book, and that it becomes as special to anyone who picks it up as it is to me. I hope they'll make you laugh, cry, adore them, dislike them, and wonder what the heck they were thinking...or what the heck I was thinking -lol-.
