The Candy Series
Cherry Sours was the first of the Denny and Cain stories. They showed up and tapped me on the shoulder and informed me that they had this little shaving fetish they wanted me to write about... Cherry Sours was quickly followed by Lemon Drops, Sweet Tarts and Licorice Whips.
These guys still whisper to me occassionally. In fact, they introduced a pair of their friends to each other one evening and Boiling Point, my take on the Ruby birthstone (coming soon), was born.
Cherry Sours
Cain's had a bad, bad day. All he wants is some candy to sweeten his mood, but what he gets instead is an unexpected dinner invitation from a stranger.
Denny's fond of cherry sours, too, but he thinks Cain needs more than candy to smooth out the rough edges in his life, and he's perfectly happy to give it to him.
As Cain's insecurities vanish along with his inhibitions, the two of them discover that you can go from being strangers to being very close in no time at all.
Lemon Drops
Returning from best-selling Single Shot, Cherry Sours, Denny and Cain are learning all about each other, playing games that make Cain blush and make Denny as happy as he's ever been. They're getting along great, but Cain doesn't want Denny to think he needs financial support.
When Cain gets even deeper into money trouble, he hesitates to tell Denny, even though he wants to. He knows he's in love, but he's just not sure he can trust what he feels. Can Denny convince Cain that what they have is real?
Sweet Tarts
Cain and Denny have been apart a lot for work, and they're missing their time together a lot. Denny knows just what to do for New Year's, though, and it involves getting rid of all of that hair on Cain's face. And possibly everywhere else. Can these two start the New Year off with a clean slate? Featuring the boys from Cherry Sours and Lemon Drops!
Licorice Whips
Cain's comic book career is really starting to take off, and he has to leave his lover Denny long enough to do a book tour. He misses his daily routine while he's on the road, misses the care Denny takes of him. Then there's Will, his tour manager, who's sweet and maybe too fond of Cain for his own good.
When Will starts making advances that Cain can't deal with, it's Denny to the rescue. Will Cain be able to deal with all the stress life throws at him? The boys from Cherry Sours and Sweet Tarts prove they still have it in Licorice Whips!
