A Whale of a Tale

Or, rather, a tail of a whale.  I snapped this from a whale watch vessel in February, 2008, off Monterey California.  I had only a light jacket and no gloves, and the boat heaved on twelve-to-fifteen-foot swells.  I was turning into a block of salty ice!

Thar she blows!  Where away?  Two points abaft the lee beam!  She blows, she blows, she blows!
