What do you remember about …

What do you remember about your high school graduation?

Did you have a class song?

Who was valedictorian and salutatorian?

Did you toss your caps?

Who did you sit by?

Who did you process in and out with?

Was there a class party afterward?

What did you wear under your gown?

Did you get any gifts that were special?

Thinking about your past and bringing memories to the forefront is a good brain exercise. The more you think about your high school graduation, the more details you'll probably remember.

You're making connections in your brain, strengthening the pathways of information flow. It's kind of like defragmenting your hard drive on your computer, or organizing your file cabinet (if you're not as geeky) or closet (if you'd rather think in terms of clothes).

Go ahead – think about your high school graduation, no matter how long ago it was. You'll have stories for your next class reunion.
