It's Better to Give than Receive....
So in light of this enlightening thought, I'm giving away copies of HEART OF THE HIGHLAND WOLF at two locations today!
Heart of the Highland Wolf
~Terry Spear
I'm at Castles and Guns today with a free giveaway! :)
And at RomFan Reviews also!
As to receiving though, I was taught to always graciously thank the gift giver, no matter whether I loved the gift or not. Which reminds me of A Christmas Story where the boy received a pink bunny custom for Christmas and had to wear it and show his appreciation.
But it was drummed into me that no matter if we got something we absolutely hated--mine was underwear from a grandmother who NEVER gave us gifts, but my mother figured they were too small for her, so she gave them to my sister and me for Christmas, and they were 10 times too big for us--but hey, I still wrote her a very nice thank you card. :) And we gave the underwear to the women's crisis center.
Have you ever received a gift you hated, but still found it in your heart to thank the giver? Then vowed to get even?
:)
But back to giving--I do love to give, and I do love it when the receiver loves it.
Then I truly do feel it's better to give than receive.
Do you think this nurse looks a little too...happy in an evil sort of way to be giving, rather than receiving? I think her job has some perks. :)
