State of the writing
I have completed going through Promise Kept. It is currently wafting through the internet attached to an email to the lovely friend who is editing it for me. Also, I have an idea for new cover art, and hopefully, someone in the family might draw it for me.
Now, time to work on something else until I hear back from my lovely editor.
BTW, tomorrow I have a guest blog at Me Wants Food about post apocalyptic literature, dystopias, and the people who love them.

On my budget, I'm not sure either. Like I said, I'm going to try and get a family member to do it for me. Failing that, I have a couple of ideas where I can get cover art within my means.

They have photos, illustrations, and other things, and while they hold the copywright, for a small fee (I purchased 5 downloads for $49 dollars) the image can be used for up to 250,000 uses, sales for what have you, It just can not be used for print on demand type of items such as t-shirts and mugs. They do allow for book covers, I called and talked to them. Just a thought, I know there are a few other sites as well, like dreamtime, and more, some allow more usage. On the create a space community there was some discussion on this, I do not have the programs to do my own but may be getting them later. I just thought it might give you another avenue. Just an FYI
Also, I went into coupons for Shutterstock and found one for 5% off, sometimes you can find them for more.So I actually only paid $44.00 and I have 4 downloads left to use in a year. You might also research public domain pictures and illustrations, I could not find what I was looking for, but most of those are free if you can find them.
I also saw that you marked my book as to read. I would be happy to send you a PDF if you are interested.

Thanks for the info. The cover idea I have may not be something I can use photos for, but that could be a really good jumping off point. I could block it together with several photos. I might try that.As for reading your book -- I would really like that, but I have a whole bunch of books that I feel I need to read first from the Blog Tour de Troops. If you want to send it to me, please go ahead, I just don't know when I would get to it. Do you still have my email address?
