I dare you to write a scene ending in “and at last, (s)he took the final sip”

Be creative! Is the character taking the final sip of a medication? A poison? A potion? Build up the suspense as long as you can so that when the story drops off, your reader wonders what happened and can’t stop wishing for more. Will they be afraid for the character? Will they be waiting for the character to finally have enough power to fight off an enemy? Will they wonder if the character’s life was saved?

Think outside the box!
