Operation Encourage an Author
In a culture that thrives off the 'me first' mentality, I've bumped into someone who epitomizes the sweet traits of the other mindset. Casey Herringshaw created a website designed to encourage authors. Not to self-promote, not to vent, not to tell folks how to do something; she simply encourages others who fight to survive in a difficult career. Each week she interviews a new author and urges sweet comments from her reader. How precious! I only wish God called folks like this for every line of business, surely there are others who in need of such a boost.
This week I am more than blessed to be her recipient (and oh-so grateful). Writing can be tough, lonely job filled with guesstimates and vocal critics. On the otherhand it is filled with fans, thrills, and sweet people like Casey. If you write, click through and read some of her previous notes of encouragment. I pray it seeps through to your rough spots. If you don't write, but you like to read, please consider clicking through and bookmarking the site so you can encourage not just me, but all the authors she highlights. If you're neither a reader nor a writer, click through anyway…what else do you have to do on a Monday?:D
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This week is Graduation week for our household. Let the craziness begin! What are you up to?
