And besides, now that Obama is the standard bearer for nation-building through firepower, the "anti-war left" is as quiescent and content as the End to Evil Right. No more war protests from them. It might get in the way of all that Hope and Change. All agree (except for complete kooks like Kucinich and Paul) that our latest adventure in building the Great Society abroad is The Right Thing to Do--or at least not so bad that we should risk dethroning the God King who will, any minute now, deliver Hope and Change.
